·       Wait for solid green light to appear on the extender.

·       Choose an administrator username and password for your extender.

·       For username you can use admin as default one and for password it is advisable to choose different from your Wi-Fi network password.

·       Wait for the Router and Power LED lights to turn solid green or blue.

·       Now you can unplug the extender and place it to a new location with poor Wi-Fi zone.

Netgear Nighthawk App is very user-friendly. You can manage your connected devices, operate parental control, monitor your internet traffic, check broadband speed and share Wi-Fi with guests with ease.

Follow the steps below to install your Extender via Netgear Nighthawk App:

·       Make sure your Router is connected with the internet and make a note of admin details network name (SSID) and password.

·       Switch on the Extender point if the device has any.

·       Download and install Netgear Nighthawk App on your device.

·       Go to Menu, select set up a new Nighthawk system. Select Range Extender.

·       While setting up make sure you have kept the Extender in the same room as you have kept the Router. Once installation takes place you can move it to the desired location.

·       Wait till the Power LED becomes solid green or blue. If it does not then try Power On/Off.

·       Tap Next and join Nighthawk network display. Press continue Nighthawk app aim to connect with the Extender.

·       Choose default network NETGEAR_EXT on your Wi-Fi selection display.

·       Go back to app, tap Wi-Fi is connected. Here you can tap Next till the time Nighthawk App attempts to search for local network to extend.

·       Now, you can choose your router’s Wi-Fi name (SSID) then enter password in the respective fields and confirm the page display.

·       Set up an admin login details, you can select admin as default username and a different password rather than using your regular Wi-Fi network password.

·       Make sure Nighthawk app updates your Extender with the latest firmware.

·       Once the solid green or blue light appears on the Power and Router LED.

·       Finally, set up process is done. Now you can move the extender to the desired location within the Wi-Fi coverage area and enjoy the uninterrupted internet services.

Nighthawk Login plays an important role here. To access all app’s features app login should be made in the right way. Make sure your device either mobile or laptop should be connected with the Wi-Fi network. Correct admin details to be punched in for should be kept safe and private for security reasons.
